Alireza Fallah

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at . Prior to that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley, hosted by . In the summer 2023, I obtained my Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, where I worked with and . I spent Fall 2023 as the at the , where I was a member of the program.

My research interests lie in the span of machine learning theory, market and mechanism design, game theory, optimization, and privacy. My research integrates insights from all these areas to address the complex challenges arising from the interaction between ML algorithms and human behavior.

My Ph.D was generously supported by the , the , and the . I spent summer 2020 as a research intern at Apple ML Privacy team. Before going to MIT, I earned a dual B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology.
