Dr Ga毛l Giraud, Economist, senior researcher at C.N.R.S. (French national centre for scientific research), Centre d鈥橢conomie de la Sorbonne, University of Paris , Paris School of Economics.
Ga毛l Giraud is a French economist, specialized in general equilibrium theory, game theory and finance.
A former fellow of Ecole Normale Sup茅rieure in Paris, of ENSAE (Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l鈥橝dministration Economique) and of CORE (Center of Operations Research, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), he earned his Ph.D. at the Laboratoire d鈥橢conom茅trie de l鈥橢cole Polytechnique in 1998. Currently affiliated with University of Paris 1-Sorbonne Economic Center (CES) and the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), he is currently advisor of 7 PhD students. He has also been appointed Associate Professor at ESCP-Europe business school. In 2009, he was nominated as Best French young economist by Le Monde/Le Cercle des 茅conomistes.
He is also a member of Paris School of Economics, a French 鈥淟aboratory of Excellence鈥 devoted to financial regulation (LabEx ReFi), the European NGO Finance Watch, the Nicolas Hulot Foundation and the French Expert Committee for the national Debate on the Ecological Transition.
Between 1999 and 2004, he worked as a quantitative consultant in various French investment banks.
He published 4 books, the last one being : Illusion financi猫re, Les Editions de l鈥橝telier, 2012
